Hey Kids, what another amazing weekend we have had here at Never Land Bar, with the guys from Max Judo and The Flavour producing the perfect vibe for a Saturday Night. With the Quicky Pro in full swing we have an awesome line up for you kids this week. FRIDAY 5th MARCH - Peek-A-Boo Presents GOLDEN BUG SATURDAY 6th MARCH - FAIT ACCOMPLI with Special Guests! This SUNDAY Night we have a special treat, with Dead Beat Band and Depths of Balsa performing at Never Land Bar. Last time Dead Beat Band were here they had a killer set opening for Phil Jamieson and Pat Davern (Grinspoon) and this time will be no different, with unquestionable amounts of energy and life when on the stage. Depths of Balsa are one of our favourite local acts, and Mr Mark Conrad is a sexy beast! Get down for this FREE EVENT supported by Brad Heald from The Vines (DJ Set) & the mysterious Chingy. THURSDAY 11th MARCH - THE MESS HALL I am very pleased to announce that it is now less than two weeks until Indie favorites THE MESS HALL perform live at Never Land Bar, in support of their new and critically acclaimed album, For The Birds. 'For The Birds' departs from The Mess Hall's previous recorded works in the scope of its musical ambition and the bands willingness to experiment. The most noticeable change comes in the bands desire to play with a newfound sense of swing that owes a debt of gratitude to the great jazz players of a bygone era, whilst the live show still retains the raw power for which the band has become so highly regarded. Equal parts soul revue, rock and roll sledgehammer, and real-time live soundtrack, The Mess Hall concert experience is a wonder to behold. To miss it would be simply ridiculous. The band are delighted to be joined by two of Australia's finest and most original bands, Bridezilla and Cabins, ensuring that the term get there early has never been more appropriate. Watch out, as tickets are selling fast for this highly anticapated show! MORE UPCOMMING GIGS!!!

Never Land Bar

Never Land Bar is very congruent with its own name, the boutique space lends itself to the progressive industry of the arts giving it the upwards direction to soaring through the lame attempts by competitors to really inject culture into the community. Never Land bar has a keen inspiration to bring in the sultry mix of big name acts for DJ Sets and Band Nights.
So far this unique venue has seen some of the worlds best musicians from the deborterous “Peaches” DJ SET (USA) to the chilled “The Beautiful Girls” and to the left field sounds of “Art Vs. Science”. Other acts so far have included the famous “Tom Middleton”, “DJ Falcon”, “Bang Gang”, “Purple Sneakers”, “The Hoops”, “K.I.M. fromTHE PRESETS”, Galvatrons, The Dirty Secrets, The Delta Riggs, “Foals” DJ SET (UK), ”Howling Bells” (UK), "Crazy Penis (UK), Claude Von Stroke (USA), "Black Angus from Sneaky Sound System", "Miami Horror", "Philadelphia Grand Jury", "Whitley" and “Kid Kenobi”
The floor plan lends itself to part band room / part New York style loft, with two impacting levels, you can view DJ’s and Bands from a number of different angles with a wrap around balcony above the stage and from the downstairs dance floor with ambient lighting throughout the venue’s design keeps the focus on the acts at hand rather than fancy trimmings.

Never Land gets Crazy with Danielle from Crazy P!!!
Zeus Baby! has taken up where U3-GO left off, with fresh, new songs, and re-workings of the old classics. Zeus Baby! is the sound of the Gold Coast.

You know the DJ has played a good set when any of the following happen; the atmosphere is so charged it feels like electricity is running through the air; the dancefloor is so packed that you’re swapping essential body fluids with fifteen strangers; somebody spills a vodka something in (not on) your brand new kicks and you don’t care, the DJ is swigging champagne straight out of the bottle mid-set; despite 10 mins of searching, you can’t find two of your crew whom are somewhere in the same room of the club as you; the place looks like a bomb went off inside; or, people are acting like a bomb went off inside. You know the DJ has killed it when ALL of the above get crossed of the list. That being said, I can officially report that the beast known as "Act Yo Age" is here to imprint lasting memories.
A young energetic indie band with insightful songs wide in scope: quiet ambient sounds, epic build ups, breakdowns, light, shade, delicate and intense.
Danielle the front women of Crazy Penis known as Crazy P will be taking the Mic and decks in hand this coming Monday "Australia Day Eve" get ready for our HEADLINE act of January!
In a music industry where good artists become obscured by bands who become the "in" thing, bands such as Grinspoon won't achieve the kind of notoriety they deserve. Hailing from Down Under (New South Wales to be exact), the band formed in 1995 to compete in a national music search. 1998 saw the release of Guide To Better Living in Australia, with a release in the United States the following year. An EP in 1998 was followed by another, Undercover, in 2000. They released Thrills, Kills & Sunday Pills in 2004.
